When do I make DIY stovetop potpourri??? Each year we try to have a get together over the holidays and I always like to give everyone a little something. This year we have invited everyone in the neighborhood and they will be taking home a little package of potpourri. 😊

The Ingredients

  • Navel oranges
  • Whole cinnamon sticks
  • Whole cloves
  • Whole vanilla bean

Prepare the Oranges

  • Start by slicing the oranges into thin rounds
  • Set them out in a single layer on a cookie sheet in combination with a cooling/baking rack in order to allow the heat to reach both sides of the orange slices evenly
  • Put them in the oven to dry at 200F (set on convection if possible) for 2-3 hours until they turn a deep gold color

  • 2-3 orange slices
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • A vanilla bean split lengthwise
  • A teaspoon of cloves
