It All Started With the Dishwasher… Part Deux

It All Started With the Dishwasher… Part Deux

It all started with the dishwasher… Part Deux. Let’s just back this up a bit and say that this turn of events had been going on for more than *three weeks*!!! 😲 Including the time while we were both sick and couldn’t deal with it. Including while we had the entire family over for *Christmas dinner*!!!

Also including the time after Christmas dinner when Ian and Kaitlyn said, “there’s no way we can leave you to wash all these dishes after you made the entire feast (actually with a lot of help from all the kids because we were still rundown from being sick)… anyway, you get the idea… everyone was being really thoughtful…

Water Armageddon

And then it happened… water came gushing out from under the sink… and I do mean gushing, like Niagara Falls, gushing out from under our sink! 😭😭😭 What now??? This was back in the days when we still naively thought the problem was isolated within the dishwasher… oh those early carefree days… πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Niagara Falls

We now understood that this was no “easy”, and I use that term loosely, knowing what I do now, dishwasher issue. This was the whole megillah, the whole ball of wax, the kitchen plumbing in it’s entirety…

This is Where We Entered in Part Un

This is where we entered in Part Un… Now to hopefully reach a very happy conclusion in Part Deux… 🀞🀞🀞 We reached out to both the plumber and the septic company a second time, but they both affirmed that it was time to call an appliance repair company… and as you may have already guessed… they had a recommendation.

A Conclusion at Last???

We called. They scheduled an appointment for the following week (!). What’s another week? Paper plates is my middle name. Somehow, even knowing that we could now use the sink, it didn’t feel safe. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

He came he looked. It didn’t appear to be the issue that the Error Code was indicating (drat those error codes). In fact, everything looked to be working just fine… unless… unless it’s “the board”… the mighty, mighty board that runs the whole darn thing. How will we determine whether it’s the board? Well by running again of course, to see whether it completes its cycle.

Not So Fast

Well, if you’ve been following along, you can already guess that it did not in any way, shape, or form, complete it’s cycle. We called. They will have the board in another week. Another week (!). Gentle reader, when I tell you that I feel my sanity beginning to crack, it is no exaggeration.

I hope you’ll come along to hold my hand while we wait to see the outcome of our next visit from the appliance repair technician. Any bets???
